First Article Assembly
Most contractors say they offer First Article Assembly, and many do, but their premium charges so high, outsourcing no longer seems a cost-effective alternative. VICMAR began as a prototype assembly house, designed to accommodate the prototype and short-run needs of high technology users. Our First Article Assembly service features a flexible pricing structure, which allows us to work with each client to reduce prototyping costs. And our engineers put their experience to work for every client we serve, offering ideas and suggestions on design to improve the manufacturing process as another way to reduce costs.

VICMAR has 15 years experience in production, and test of electronic equipment. Our burn-in board and contract assembly staff offer complete PCB first article, prototyping, and volume production.

Our service is capable of handling oversized through-hole PCBs (multi-layer boards up to 24 inches wide) and mixed-technology PCBs. We offer high-quality, quick response PCB assembly . We also offer chassis assembly with testing.

Using the latest assembly materials, tools, and ESD precautions, we produce PCBs which meet or exceed MIL-STDs. Full-service material requirements planning (MRP) is also available, including purchasing and incoming inspection.

Both 63/37 tin/lead and 96/4 tin/silver solder are available; other solders (leaded and lead-free) can be requested. VICMAR uses environmentally safe water-soluble organic fluxes and biodegradable cleaning solutions.

VICMAR carefully monitors the specific gravity of wave solder flux, the temperature and flow of wave and reflow solder, and the temperature and cleanliness of PCB wash and rinse. We adhere rigorously to precision safety and quality requirements.

Our quality assurance staff continually monitor the assembly process with proven methods for statistical process control. Upon request, they will provide quality tests and profiles for your PCB assemblies.
